Seyitbek Uulu did enough in the exciting third round to win their narrow bout by split decision.
Osh-based Aybek Mirzakulov is not among Kyrgyzstan’s most experienced boxers but the light welterweight (64kg) talent defeated Kazakhstan’s Nurzhan Makashbayev and Kyrgyzstan’s Samat Zhusupov in the final two stages. AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships bronze medallist Adilet Batyraliev was the favourite of the welterweight (69kg) and he dominated his final against Zharkynbek Turatov.
