Vietnam’s objective is to earn medals in Al Ain

Vietnam is in the final preparation for the upcoming ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships which will open with its first competition day in Al Ain on August 29.
The upcoming ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships will be held in Al-Ain, United Arab Emirates between August 27 and September 10 which is the first top event after the Paris Olympics. Two age groups, two genders and Asia’s best 13, 14, 15 and 16-year-old talents will be competing for the 56 available gold medals in Al Ain.
Mr. Pham Thanh Hai and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Quan will be the coaches of their delegation in Al Ain and the duo arranged hard training programs for their talents.
Vietnam Boxing Federation’s last competition, the National Championships for the youth, junior, schoolgirls and schoolgirls was held in Quang Ngai and supported their selections for the Al Ain event. Nearly 650 boxers from 41 teams competed in this huge National Championships which was supported by the Vietnam Boxing Federation, the Vietnam Sports Authority and the People’s Committee of the Quang Ngai Province.
Nguyen Anh Thi Hua will be the smallest Vietnamese female boxer in the entire competition, she will be boxing at the schoolgirls 35kg weight class in Al Ain. Thi Ru Na Dinh (46kg), and Hoang Hoa Do (67kg) will join them in the historic schoolgirls part of the competition.
Another talented Vietnamese girl, Vy Thuy Quynh Nhu from Quang Ngai won the smallest weight category, the 42kg in the Junior National Championships against Mac Thi Thu of Haiphong but she will be boxing in a higher category in Al Ain.
Nguyen Hong Hai Bang won the junior welterweight (66kg) title with clear dominance, she defeated her final opponent by RSC therefore the coaches are expecting a strong result from her in Al Ain.
Bui Duy Phong is Vietnam’s best schoolboy talent who moved up to the 61kg weight class but the 14-year-old boxer is aiming for a historic medal for his nation in the event. Another two talents from the 2010 age group, Nguyen Quoc Trieu (46kg) and Vu Huy Hoang (+70kg) both are prepared well for this upcoming Asian Championships. Dinh Van Hang walked over to the title of the pinweight (46kg) in the Junior National Championships and he plans to participate at the light flyweight (48kg). Nguyen Hai Dang (52kg), Ho Thi Kim Trong (54kg) and Trin Hai Anh (75kg) are ready to make surprises in the men’s junior part of the championship.
