Two competition days have finished at the 14th Nations Women’s Cup

Two competition days have been completed at the 14th edition of the Nations Women’s Cup will be starting in Sombor, Serbia where Kazakhstan is one of the participating countries.

The Nations Women’s Cup was the first main international competition in the recent years as well and the Serbian event recognizes high quality of boxing.

Sombor is located in North Serbia in the province of Vojvodina and it is the host of the Nations Women’s Cup since many years. The first edition of the competition took place for the ladies still on January 2012. 

The new edition of the Nations Women’s Cup will be held in all of the four female age groups: elite, youth, junior and schoolgirls.

Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, England, IBA Neutral, Kazakhstan, Romania, Russia, host Serbia and Slovakia are the participating countries at the 14th Nations Women’s Cup.

Kazakhstan sent 22 female boxers to the Nations Women’s Cup in the junior and youth age groups to strengthen their international experience.  

Mukhtar Aruzhan walked over to the next stage at the women’s junior pinweight (46kg) following her opponent, Serbia’s Sara Galovic was unable to box against her in the first session of the Nations Women’s Cup.

Diana Yerdulloyeva (46kg) and Razaliya Vaideman (60kg) both lost to more experienced English girls in the first competition day of the event. Yerdulloyeva was competitive for the European Junior Champion Lilly Bassett only for one round and the referee stopped their contest in the second.

Alyona Romanenko had some good results in the past but she is inexperienced in the international stage yet. The Kazakh junior talent had a close contest against Jovana Damjanovic but the Serbian girl marched to the next stage of boxing.

Eight further Kazakh girls will be in action in the third competition day at the 14th Nations Women’s Cup in Serbia today.
