Turkmenistan introduced its event plans for 2025

The Turkmenistan Boxing Federation decided to arrange their upcoming national events which could be their selection meetings for the top international championships.
The management of the Turkmenistan Boxing Federation had to cancel their recent Elite National Cup in December 2024 due to the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships which took place in Chiang Mai, Thailand and overlapped the planned national event.
Turkmenistan reached historic results in the 2023 edition of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan where one of their talents, Dayanch Durdynepesov claimed a gold medal.
Turkmenistan sent 20 boxers to the 2024 edition of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships to Astana 10 months ago and their pugilists competed in various international events last year.
The Secretary General of the Turkmenistan Boxing Federation, Mr. Durdymammet Kuljayev was also very active in 2024, he supported the team’s preparations and participations in several international events.
Their next event will be the Turkmenistan Elite National Championships and the planning date is April 2025. The core of their best boxers competed in Chiang Mai but new younger aces could be joined them in the Elite Nationals.
Turkmenistan also plans to host their Youth & Junior National Championships together and its date could be on May 2025. The youth boxers will be from the 2007 and 2008 age groups, the younger talents who were born in 2009 and in 2010, will be able to compete in the junior part of the Nationals.
The technician genius Sanjar Hamrayev (48kg), and Abdalla Hojayev (50kg) both claimed silver medals in the 2023 edition in Astana. Seitjan Babajanov (54kg) were their bronze medallist at the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Astana. All of there are now in the youth age group with plenty of experience and they could be the highlights of the upcoming Youth National Championships.
Their Turkmenistan Elite National Cup will feature later this year, this November as the replacement of the last cancelled edition.
