Today is the last day to register boxers to the AIBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships
The AIBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships is one of the next top events which will be coming soon. The host city of the event is Belgrade, Serbia and the event will be held between October 24 and November 6. The registration is still available for the National Federations but the deadline for the AIBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships is today, October 4.
There is huge interest from the National Federations to attend in the AIBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships. All of the top nations of the boxing world already registered to attend in the event which is the next highlight after Olympic Games.
The first edition of the AIBA World Boxing Championships was held in Havana, Cuba in 1974 which means the event has got 47 years of history. Belgrade hosted the second edition of the AIBA World Boxing Championships in 1978 and after 43 years of break the event returns to the Serbian capital.
The official weight categories in the forthcoming AIBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships will be the light flyweight (48kg), flyweight (51kg), bantamweight (54kg), featherweight (57kg), lightweight (60kg), light welterweight (63.5kg), welterweight (67kg), light middleweight (71kg), middleweight (75kg), light heavyweight (80kg), cruiserweight (86kg), heavyweight (92kg) and super heavyweight (+92kg).
The AIBA Men’s World Boxing Championships will be a money prize event, all of the medallists can earn huge amount of cash. The winners will earn 100,000 USD, the silver medallists 50,000, while the bronze medallist each 25,000 dollars in the event.
