Three strong nations shared the junior titles at the Ibraimov Prizes Tournament

The Ibraimov Prizes Women’s Tournament was a fantastic event in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan where three nations shared the titles.

The 2009 and 2010 born boxers were eligible to compete in the Ibraimov Prizes Women’s Junior Tournament in Almaty. The number of the junior girls in the new edition was even more than in 2024, 175 youngsters competed for the 13 titles in Almaty.

The competition was named after Mr. Yermakhan Ibraimov, who claimed gold medal at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, and he was World Champion, Asian Games winner and Asian Champion during his impressive boxing career. Ibraimov won the big four and he became one of the most successful boxers of Kazakhstan in all-times.

Mongolia’s Altanzul Altangadas is their biggest talent in this age group and she had a successful final mission against Kazakhstan’s Milana Inshina at the pinweight (46kg) final bout. The 16-year-old Mongolian had some advantage on the scorecards after two rounds and she finished the job with heavy shots in the third. 

Uzbekistan’s Nazokat Mardonova is a new member in their junior national team but she exceeded the expectations in her light flyweight (48kg) final against Kazakhstan’s Almaty-based Lashyn Dauletzhan.

Almaty’s Maral Tolepbergen joined the junior age group only this January but she had the successful mission against Uzbekistan’s Kumriniso Mukhammadova. Kostanay region’s Ramina Makhanova also defeated a strong Uzbek girl in the final of the bantamweight (54kg), Salomatkhon Sadorova.

Farzuna Ruziyeva is member of the strong member of the Uzbek junior national team and she controlled her featherweight (57kg) final against a local opponent, Indira Kydyrmoldayeva from the first seconds.

Uzbekistan’s Rushanabonu Isoyeva moved up a few categories to the lightweight (60kg) and she impressed in Almaty. The 16-year-old boxer was smarter in the exchanges than Turkestan region’s Zhasmin Abramiyan and she earned Uzbekistan’s third gold medal in Almaty. 

Karagandy region’s sisters such as Ayaulym Ospanova (63kg) and Kamila Ospanova (70kg) both won their weight classes in the Ibraimov Prizes Tournament. Dilyara Tursynbek was another Kazakh winner in the event, she had a hard job against Madina Nurmanova to take the welterweight (66kg) gold medal.

Diana Nadyrbek has a strong pedigree from the recent competitions and she stopped her older opponent, Naz Yerbolkyzy at the middleweight (75kg) final.
