The Vietnam Strong Teams National Championships will be held in Dak Lak Province on April 10-20

Vietnam’s next competition will be their Strong Teams National Championships in Dak Lak Province on April 10-20. Vietnam’s best female and male boxers will compete from all regions and cities in this upcoming competition.
The elite female and male boxers can compete in 27 weight categories in the Strong Teams National Championships. The additional category in women’s boxing is the 42-45kg while the 44-46kg among the men’s boxers besides to the official divisions.
The boxers from the 2007 and the 2008 age groups can participate in the youth part of the competition and also 27 champions will be crowned in Dak Lak Province.
All of the teams must be registered in the official email address of the Vietnam Boxing Federation: dangky@vnbf.vn.
Vietnam achieved its best results in women’s boxing in the recent 15 years including Asian titles, further medals in the ASBC Championships, World Elite medals, World Youth medals and Southeast Asian Games gold medals.
Their ASBC Asian Women’s Boxing Championships in 2017 and SEA Games in 2022 as the host country, supported their rapid development in the sport.
Vietnam earned one gold medal in the 2022 of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships but their star, Nguyen Thi Tam had several injuries in the previous two years. Team Vietnam achieved three silver and one bronze medals in the last 2024 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Chiang Mai.
Vietnam’s last major achievement is a bronze from the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships which took place in Nis, Serbia. Their Ha Thi Linh bagged that bronze at the women’s light welterweight (63kg) earlier this month.
