The upcoming World Military Games will be held in Wuhan in October 15-30 next year

The 2019 edition of the World Military Games will be held in the city of Wuhan in China in October 15-30 next year. The 7th World Military Games contains 329 competitions in 27 different sports and more than 8,000 athletes are expected to take part in China next year. The official website of the World Military Games is revealed in the recent days.
Wuhan is the capital city of Hubei Province in Central China and its population is more than 10 million. Besides to the Chinese sport organizations and military government the CISM (International Military Sports Council) is the organizer of the World Military Games. The boxing is official sport in the World Military Games since the first edition.
The first edition of the World Military Games was inaugurated in the Italian capital in Rome in 1995 and since then the multisport event hold every four years. China is the host after Yeongju, South Korea which welcomed the participants of the sixth editions of the World Military Games in 2015.
Nearly 200 boxers attended in the 6th edition of the World Military Games in South Korea four years ago where the Asian athletes won six out of the ten boxing gold medals. Host South Korea achieved three gold medal in Yeongju, Kazakhstan took two titles while the sixth Asian top place was claimed by China.
The biggest star of the last World Military Games was Kazakhstan’s two-time WSB Team Champion Aslanbek Shymbergenov who earned silver also in the Jakarta 2018 Asian Games two months ago. South Korea’s duo Yang Hee Guen (81kg) and Kim Ju Seong (56kg) also impressed the crowd four years ago and China’s lone winner Mu Haipeng (+91kg) is also a well-known boxer in the international stages.
