The team of the Toyo University defended the throne at the Kanto University Boxing League with perfect performance

Japan has fantastic boxing talents and these young hopes are able to develop their skills and increase their experience in the Kanto University Boxing League. The final match was held at the Korakuen Hall, in Suidobashi, Tokyo and the Toyo University impressed this season.

The Kanto University Boxing League had different divisions, the male teams can fight from the minimumweight up to the middleweight. The league was sponsored by the Kanto Boxing Federation and organized all of the division matches.

The Toyo University won the first division of the Kanto University Boxing League for the second consecutive year and third time in their history. Their boxers won all of their five matches with 37 individual successes including 13 RSC victories.

The famous Komazawa University became the runner-up at the Kanto University Boxing League with their fours wins and one loss. The Komazawa University team lost to only the winner of the entire league, the Toyo University and their boxers had 29 successes.

The Tono University ranked as No.3 with 3 wins and 2 losses during the league matches and their boxers had altogether 19 individual victories. The Nihon University worked also well in the league, ranked No.4, the talents from the squad had 24 individual triumphs but they lost to the Toyo, Komazawa and Tono universities.

The Takushoku University finished in the fifth place with one victory and four losses in the five-weeks long competition. The team of the Hosei University lost all of their five matches and their boxers won only seven bouts on these appearances.

The Chuo University won the second division of the Kanto Boxing League with five wins and perfect performance during the season. They defeated the teams of the Nittai University, Meiji University, Keio University, Rikkyo University and Senshu University.

The Daito Bunka University bagged the title of the third division with 17 points ahead of the Tokyo University, and teams of Waseda, Aoyama, Hitotsubashi, Heisei and the National Defence Academy.

The Toyo University has earned the right to participate in the 77th All Japan University Boxing Championships as a Kanto representative. The Japanese Boxing Federation will be held the event in Kadoma City, Osaka on August 26.
