The schedule of the next ASBC Extraordinary Congress in Al Ain has revealed

The Asian Boxing Confederation’s Extraordinary Congress will take place in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates on August 31 during the competition period of the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships.

The venue of the ASBC Extraordinary Congress is the Grand Ballroom at the Danat Al Ain Resort on August 31 in the morning before the start of the competition sessions.

The arrival date for the delegation members to the ASBC Extraordinary Congress is August 30 while after the meeting, the officials can leave Al Ain on September 1. The local organizers will be arranged the transportation from and to the Airport based on the itinerary of the delegation members.

The management of the Asian Boxing Confederation decided to arrange an ASBC Extraordinary Congress in the United Arab Emirates one month ago after the Board of Directors meeting in order to vote on joining World Boxing.

The International Olympic Committee withdraw the recognition of the International Boxing Association as the governing body for the Olympic boxing. The IOC’s derecognition of IBA, the Asian Boxing Confederation will consider aligning with World Boxing which is aiming for a recognition in the International Olympic Committee.

The ASBC Extraordinary Congress will start with the registrations and ASBC President Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira’s speech before the discussion.
