The Road to Al Ain – Twenty-eight talents won the titles at the Vietnam Schoolboys & Schoolgirls National Championships

Vietnam Boxing Federation’s next competition, the National Championships for the schoolgirls and schoolgirls was held in Quang Ngai.

The national competition was eight days long and boxers from the 2010 and 2011 age groups were able to participate in Quang Ngai.

Nearly 650 boxers from 41 teams competed in this huge National Championships which was supported by the Vietnam Boxing Federation, the Vietnam Sports Authority and the People’s Committee of the Quang Ngai Province.

Vietnam had impressive results in the recent ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships, Southeast Asian Games and two of their strong elite female boxers have qualified and competed in the Paris Olympic Games.

Vietnam arranged the event to select their best talents to the upcoming ASBC Asian Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships which will be starting in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates on August 27.

The schoolgirls were able to box in fourteen categories from the 42kg up to the 80kg weight classes. Nguyen Hoai Bao Chau (42kg), Thach Thi Bao Chau (44kg), Hua Nguyen Anh Thi (48kg), and Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet (60kg) won the tightest finals of the Vietnam Schoolgirls National Championships.

The schoolboys were also able to participate for the medals in fourteen different divisions from the 42kg up to the 80kg weight classes. Dinh Van Ben (42kg), Nguyen Phi Long (48kg), Pham Hoan Minh Nhat (50kg), Le Anh Nguyen (52kg), Bui Duy Phong (60kg) and Nguyen Van Minh Kha (63kg) won their tough schoolboys finals only by split decisions.
