The R&J Seminar of the Belt & Road International Youth Boxing Festival began with its Opening and lectures in Urumqi today

The Referee & Judge Seminar began with its Opening and first lecture at the 2nd Belt & Road International Youth Boxing Festival in Urumqi, Xinjiang province today.

Mr. Fu Xinyu, the Deputy Director of Xinjiang Boxing Sports Management Center, Mrs. Liang Yuan, the Technical Delegate and International Technical Official, Mr. Jiao Subin, the Director of Youth Promotion Department of Chinese Boxing Association, Mr. Mijiti Abuduxikeer, the Director of the Xinjiang Boxing Sports Management Center and Mr. Zhu Zhenghui, the Party Secretary of Xinjiang Sports Technical College all attended in the Opening Ceremony of the R&J Seminar.

One of the most experienced boxing teacher and official of the world, Mr. Ray Silvas from the United States is the Instructor of the Referee & Judge Seminar in Urumqi to increase the level of the officials before the start of the competition.

The vision of the R&J Seminar is to help referees, judges and timekeepers to understand and apply the new Technical and Competition Rules.

The Chinese Boxing Federation and the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Municipal Government are the organizers of the Festival and all of the activities including the event, the training camp and the seminar as well.

The venue of the Referee & Judge Seminar is the Xinjiang Sports Vocational Education and Technical College which was established in 1959.

Xinjiang province is not only the most western part of China but it has biggest land areas among the regions. Xinjiang province has 15 prefectures and the 180 participants of the R&J Seminar arrived from all of these zones to Urumqi.

The participants arrived not only from China’s all regions, but from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Chinese Taipei, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and other countries as well.
