The review of the Tajikistan Schoolboys National Championships – Sidigov, Sidzhayev and Boymatov are their big future stars
The Tajikistan Schoolboys National Championships delighted all of the boxing fans, such amazing hopefuls as Anushervon Sidigov, Dilshod Sidzhayev, Firuzjon Boymatov, Bekhruz Umarov, Anushervon Asrorov and Bilol Davlatov won the titles in the event.
The Tajiks amazed in the ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships which was a great breakthrough for their new generation of boxers.
The boxers from the 2010 and 2011 age groups were eligible to participate in the Tajikistan Schoolboys National Championships
Anushervon Sidigov is only 13-year-old but under Mr. Saidkhoja Mamurov’s leadership, he developed rapidly in the training sessions. The Sughd region’s fantastic boxer defeated Bokhtar’s Khasanjon Sharipov in the final of the smallest 33kg weight category.
Another 13-year-old talent from the 2011 age group, Dilshod Sidzhayev from the Sughd region, eliminated his national rival, Khatlon’s Abubakr Davlatov already in the first preliminary round and none of the opponents was able to stop him. Ramazon Gulomov was also competitive for him but Sidzhayev managed to win the strong 35kg weight class.
Another boxer from the Sughd region, Firuzjon Boymatov is a super strong puncher despite he has been competing at the 37kg weight class. He will be turning to 14 only this October but his strength was decisive in the final against Khatlon’s Abdullo Chuponov.
Bekhruz Umarov achieved the Sughd region’s fourth-in-a-row gold medal in the Schoolboys National Championships following his success over Kosim Mirzoyev. The two main favourites advanced to the finals of the 43kg weight category and among them Badakhshan’s Damir Nazarov defeated Dzhalolkhon Kosimov.
Dushanbe’s Amrullo Gulov had a tough final fight at the 46kg weight class against Khatlon’s Mukhammadshokh Kalandarov but he managed his way to the gold medal. Khatlon region’s Anushervon Asrorov accomplished his goal and he took the title of the 52kg weight class against Ali Nazarov of Dushanbe.
The 14-year-old Bilol Davlatov impressed at the 55kg weight class in the Tajikistan Schoolboys National Championships while the main favourite, Akbardzhon Abdullayev claimed only a bronze medal.
Sughd region’s 13-year-old Rustam Saidov and Khatlon’s Abdurakhim Sharipov controlled their categories in the Nationals. Askarshokh Mavlonov is also among their 2011 born boxers but he defeated his older rival including Dzhovidkhon Nabotov in the final of the 70kg.
