The Official Draw was held in the Asian Games in Jakarta
Following the Chiefs De Mission Meeting the Official Draw was held in the Asian Games where it confirmed that finally 194 boxers from 31 nations will be attending in one of the toughest boxing tournaments in 2018.
ASBC President and AIBA Vice-President Mr. Serik Konakbayev, ASBC Vice-President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Yousuf Ali Al-Kazim of Qatar, President of the Indonesian Boxing Federation Mr. Johnny Asadoma and General Secretary of the Indonesian Boxing Federation Ms. Shelly Selowati Soejono are attended in the drawing ceremony.
The women boxers can compete in three different weight classes and finally their number is 47 participants from 20 different countries in Jakarta. The men athletes can to attend in seven categories where 147 boxers from 31 nations will be able to fight for the medals.
The most popular weight classes are the men’s light flyweight (49kg) and men’s light welterweight (64kg) where 23 boxers will be competing for the top of the podium. There are more than 16 boxers in each men weight classes which mean the LOC has to organize first the Round of 32 matches.

Women’s 51kg: 18 boxers
Women’s 57kg: 14 boxers
Women’s 60kg: 15 boxers
Men’s 49kg: 23 boxers
Men’s 52kg: 21 boxers
Men’s 56kg: 22 boxers
Men’s 60kg: 20 boxers
Men’s 64kg: 23 boxers
Men’s 69kg: 21 boxers
Men’s 75kg: 17 boxers
