The new Kostanay Coaches Memorial Tournament will take place in Kostanay between September 19 and 24
The Kostanay Coaches Memorial Tournament will be held in one of the busiest Kazakh boxing cities between September 19 and 24. Kostanay welcomes the elite male boxers from several regions and the event is open for all of the National Federations. The date of the new edition of the tournament is just before the start of the first qualifier, the Asian Games.
Kostanay was one of the most active boxing cities in Kazakhstan next to Astana, Atyrau, Shymkent, Almaty, Pavlodar and Aktau in the recent two years and the region developed rapidly due to their energetic leadership.
The arrival date for the teams to the next competition, the Kostanay Coaches Memorial Tournament is September 19 while the departure from the city is September 24. All of the teams are able to send five boxers and only one athlete per each weight category has the right to participate in the tournament. The sending parties must cover all of the expenses but the daily cost of the tournament is only 45 USD per person.
The competition will be staged in all of the 13 male weight categories from the minimumweight (48kg) up to the super heavyweight (+92kg) in Kostanay. Boxers who were born between 1983 and 2004 are eligible to attend in the Kostanay Coaches Tournament.
The Kostanay Coaches Tournament is an elite competition for the elite men boxers dedicated for the honoured trainers of the USSR and KazSSR. The competition remembers to Mr. Valeriy Nikulin, Mr. Vadim Gravitskiy, Mr. Mursal Tazhmakin, Mr. Vitaliy Levshin, Mr. Anton Kim and Mr. Sergey Skripnik.
The Memories of Coaches of Kostanay Tournament was a new event in the boxing map in 2021 but powerful young talents and experienced boxers joined to compete there in Kazakhstan. Uzbekistan’s strong duo, Jurabek Toshtemirov and the ASBC Asian Youth Champion Nusratbek Tokhirov both stopped their final opponents and won the bouts by RSC in the last 2022 edition when Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan shared the gold medals.
