The Mongolians introduced their national boxing calendar for 2024

The management of the Mongolian Boxing Federation decided their national and international events for 2024 and it contains eight important competitions.

The Mongolian boxers competed in their Elite National Championships in December and the final bouts delivered several surprises in Ulaanbaatar during the six-day long competition.

The Elite National Championships was a selection event for the 1st World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event which will be held in Busto Arsizio, Italy from February 29, 2024. The Mongolians are planning to join several competitions before the World Qualifier to prepare well enough to the main competition.

Their Youth National Championships will be held for the 2006 and 2007 born boxers in the city of Darkhan-Uul from March 31 until April 6.

The Mongolian Junior National Championships will be their next event for the 2008 and 2009 born athletes and the competition is scheduled to be hosted on April 21-27.

A new competition will be introduced in Mongolia this year, the Otgondalai Dorjnyambuu Tournament as next in their competition calendar. Mr. Otgondalai Dorjnyambuu was Asian Games winner in 2014 and his competition will feature in Dornod on May 7-12.

The Mongolian Schoolboys & Schoolgirls National Championships will feature in the capital city, in Ulaanbaatar on June 3-9 this year. The younger 11 and 12-year-old kids will be also able to compete in this national event next to the older 13 and 14-year-old schoolgirls and schoolboys.

The Dornogovi Cup will take place on October 23-27 while the traditional Ulgii International Box Tournament is scheduled for the schoolgirls, schoolboys and junior boxers and it is also on the official calendar in 2024.

Fifteen of their top boxers will compete at the Bocskai Memorial Tournament in Debrecen, Hungary next week which opens the year in 2024. The strong international event will be the first activity for their elite boxers and the team expects gold medals in Hungary.
