The Kyrgyz Youth National Championships is scheduled to take place on January 2021
The Elite National Boxing Championships of the Kyrgyz Republic has just finished in the capital city of the country in Bishkek but their next competition is also scheduled. The Kyrgyz Youth National Boxing Championships will be held in Bishkek on January 2021 to manage the selection before the main international events.
Boxers who were born in 2003 and in 2004 will be eligible to attend in the Kyrgyzstan Youth National Boxing Championships in 2021. The Kyrgyz boxers impressed in the last edition of the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Fujairah where this age group claimed silver and bronze medals on October 2019.
The Kyrgyz youth and junior teams attended in a two-weeks long training camp in Cholpon-Ata to build up the strength and physical skills of the boxers earlier this year. Cholpon-Ata is located in the northern shore of the Issyk-Kul Lake and famous of its resorts and beautiful environments. Altogether eleven young boxers prepared for the later actions in Cholpon-Ata including medallists from the 2019 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships.
Kyrgyzstan’s virtuoso boxer Sagyn Satybaldy Uulu claimed bronze medal in the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Fujairah and won several international tournaments in the recent three years. He is one of the biggest Kyrgyz prospects who has got already more than 120 bouts in spite of his age of 17. He has been training with full speed to prepare well to the 2021 AIBA and ASBC Youth Boxing Championships.
ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships silver medallist Khalit Aliyev is in different level than any other Kyrgyz heavyweight (91kg) boxers and could be an excellent hope for the country in 2021. Argen Baktybekov is a strong heavyweight (+91kg) talent who claimed silver medal at the Fujairah 2019 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships in spite of the fact he spent his first year among the juniors.
The last edition of the Kyrgyz Youth National Championships was held in their capital city of Bishkek where five competition days were on the program and 11 champions have been crowned. Boxers who were born in 2002 and in 2003 were eligible to attend in the competition where altogether 124 boxers attended in 11 weight classes at the Kyrgyz Youth National Championships. Kyrgyzstan’s Elite National Boxing Championships finished in the previous days which was a selection tournament for the World Olympic Boxing Qualification Event which is scheduled to be held on June 2021. The Kyrgyz Boxing Federation arranged live online coverage during the event at the very first time. The number of the participants was 120 including eight girls in the Kyrgyz Elite National Championships in the recent days.
