The Kazakhstan Junior National Championships will begin with 50 bouts in Atyrau today
The Kazakhstan Junior National Championships will be starting with 50 preliminary contests after the Grand Opening Ceremony in Atyrau today and the 14 finals are scheduled to be held on November 26.
The 2009 and 2010 born boxers are eligible to participate in the Kazakhstan Junior National Championships in Atyrau which is the age group for the next year. The event will support the decision makers to select the best boxers in this age level before the start of the new year.
Atyrau is one of the boxing capitals in Kazakhstan and the city arranged several international and national competitions in the previous years on an annual basis.
Altogether 219 boxers are participating in the junior national event after the regional selections and fourteen champions will be crowned in the city of Atyrau.
Another competition for this age groups, the 12th edition of the Serik Sapiyev Prizes Junior Tournament are running in Karagandy, Kazakhstan next to the Kazakhstan Junior National Championships.
The men competitors are able to fight for the titles at the 44kg, 46kg, 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, and the +80kg weight categories.
Turkestan region’s Zhumagali Nurmakhan and Dzhambul region’s Yernazar Ibragim will meet already in the Round of 16 at the pinweight (46kg) and that contest could be one of the most anticipated ones in Atyrau in Day1.
Astana’s Adiyat Marzhikpayev was born in a boxing family and he can show his excellent technical skills against an older boxer, Sanzhar Madinet at the junior light bantamweight (52kg) in the opening session.
The light welterweight (63kg) also super strong in the Junior National Championships, their Rasul Makazhanov, Mukhammet Tagayev of Astana, Dinmukhammed Shansharkhan and Daryn Tashmukhammedov all will be in action already in the first day.
There will be also 49 bouts in the second day of boxing in the busy junior national event which will run without any rest day until November 26.
