The final line-ups are confirmed in the Uzbekistan Youth National Championships
The semi-finals delivered tough battles in the Uzbekistan Youth National Championships and the final line-ups are revealed in Khorezm. The Uzbekistan Boxing Federation hosted national events for their women’s elite, youth and junior boxers, furthermore to their men’s elite and junior athletes in the recent two months to keep all of their talents in the sport.
Their next top competition, the Uzbekistan Youth National Championships is holding in the city of Khorezm. Historical Khorezm is located in the Western part of the country in the lower reached of the Amu-Darya river and it borders with Turkmenistan, the Bukhara region and Karakalpakstan. The region produced also fantastic boxers in the recent nearly thirty years since the country’s independence from the Soviet Union.
Boxers who were born in 2003 and in 2004 are eligible to compete in the Uzbekistan Youth National Championships which age group will be effective for the international youth competitions in 2021. Their main goals could be the 2021 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships and the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships. The Uzbek boxers proved great performance in the recent ASBC Championships in Fujairah and in Ulaanbaatar as in all of the previous editions.
Altogether 335 boxers are attending in the Uzbekistan Youth National Championships in Khorezm where the best 22 remained in actions after the semi-finals. The lightweight (60kg) was the most popular category with 54 boxers on the board but the bantamweight (56kg) showed also impressive interest with its entry number of 52 athletes.
Surkhondarya’s Khudjanazar Nortoziyev will be meeting for the gold medal with Khorezm region’s Mukhammadkodir Mamirjonov at the light flyweight (49kg) where a few surprises have done during his road to the title contest. ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships bronze medallist Bekzod Kholdorov lost his semi-final bout therefore the flyweight (52kg) final will be held between Zayniddin Zayniddinov and Mirkomil Saidokhunov.
Lazizbek Yuldashev and Ernazar Turabayev advanced to the final of the bantamweight (56kg) in Khorezm following their successes over Bunyod Umirzokov and Ilkhom Kakhorov. ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships bronze medallist amazed in his semi-final in Khorezm and will be meeting for the gold medal of the lightweight (60kg) with Khusan Turdaliyev.
Two stars advanced to the finals of the light welterweight (64kg), ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships silver medallist Bekzod Bekmuradov and Kashkadarya’s best boxer Lazizbek Fattoyev. Tashkent region’s Samandar Solijonov and Abdulaziz Rashidov worked well in the semi-finals of the welterweight (69kg) and remained their chances alive to win the strong category in Khorezm where ASBC Asian Junior Champion Azizbek Tojiyev has been eliminated in the earlier stage of the event.
The light heavyweight (81kg) final also delivered superb line-ups after the semi-finals which were won by Sardor Rakhmonberdiyev and Asadbek Umarov of Ferghana. ASBC Asian Junior Champion 17-year-old Nusratbek Tokhirov moved up to the heavyweight (91kg) and he dominated his semi-final and has got great chance to win the title against Shakhzodbek Rakhmonov of Ferghana.
