The Drawing Ceremony of the Thailand Open Tournament reveals 127 boxers will be fighting for the medals and money prizes in Bangkok

Following the general weigh-in the drawing ceremony of the Thailand Open Boxing Tournament was held in the Alexander Hotel which is the official accommodation place of the delegations in Bangkok. Altogether 127 elite male boxers will be competing for the medals and money prizes in seven weight classes.
The Thailand Open Boxing Tournament is one of the strongest preparation events before the Asian Games which will be held in Indonesia in the end of August. Some of the participating nations are using the Thailand Open Boxing Tournament as the last selection for the Jakarta 2018 Asian Games.
Thailand Boxing Association’s official Mr. Kraitach Kaewkate opened the Drawing Ceremony with the roll call in Bangkok. New Zealand’s Mr. Keith Walker is the Technical Delegate of the Thailand Open Boxing Tournament who led the Technical Meeting and also the Drawing Ceremony.
Thailand will have three teams in the Thailand Open Boxing Tournament and their A and B boxers will be selected in the different part of the draw, one of them was going to the top part and the other to the bottom. The equipments of the Thailand Open Boxing Tournament are provided by the companies of Wesing and Sting.
The teams and the boxers will be awarded by medals and also massive cash prizes during the Thailand Open Boxing Tournament in Bangkok. The best team will be getting 10,000 USD while all individual winners will be awarded by 1,500 USD in the competition. All of the boxers who lose in the first preliminary round will be earning 100 USD.
Thailand’s Wuttichai Yurachai will be meeting in the first preliminary round with South Korea’s AIBA World Boxing Championships silver medallist Shin Jong Hun which could be a unique battle in the opening day. The South Korean boxer is the titleholder of the light flyweight (49kg) in the Asian Games and returned to defend his throne.
South Korea’s another top boxer AIBA World Boxing Championships bronze medallist Kim In Kyu will be facing with Kazakhstan’s experienced Bagdat Tolybayev at the flyweight (52kg) in the opening round. Another top contest in the same category could be between Japan’s ASBC Asian Youth Champion Ryutaro Nakagaki and Thailand’s strong Artid Paroengmaemoei.
Thailand’s ASBC Asian Champion strong Chatchai Butdee will have also an exciting opening as first against South Korea’s Lee Ye Chan at the bantamweight (56kg). Indonesia’s young favourite Sunan Agung Amoragam will be boxing in the first preliminary round with Lesotho’s strong All Africa Games bronze medallist Mokhotho Moroke.
Chinese Taipei’s Rio 2016 Olympian Lai Chu En and Philippines’ former ASBC Asian Youth Champion James Palicte will be meeting in the first round of the lightweight (60kg). Iran’s returning boxer to the national team Armin Amjadian will be facing with Indonesia’s Farrand Papendang in the same division.
Thailand’s Asian Games winner Wuttichai Masuk does not have an ideal rival as first as he will face with Kazakhstan’s Miras-Ali Sarsenov at the light welterweight (64kg). Thailand’s three-time Olympian Sailom Ardee and Philippines’ Joel Bacho are the main regional rivals at the welterweight (69kg).
