The Best of the Asians 2024 – Kazakhstan is the Best National Federation

The Asian Boxing Confederation’s previous project, the Best of the Asians 2024 was revealed in the Festive Season this week and the Best National Federation trophy went to the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation.

Kazakhstan has claimed 10 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze medals in the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Chiang Mai, Thailand earlier this month which was the last main event of the year in 2024.

Kazakhstan’s next generation of boxers bagged 14 gold, 9 silver and 1 bronze medal at the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships in Astana this May. Several of their U22 winners are also members of the elite national team and they have strong international experience.

Kazakhstan’s boxers from the 17 and 18-year-old age group earned 11 gold, 4 silver and 9 bronze medals in the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships in Astana.

Additionally, Kazakhstan also topped the medal rankings at the Youth World Boxing Championships with their 6 gold, 1 silver and 10 bronze medals. Their performance in Budva, the total number of 17 medals was their record-breaking result in the history of the Youth World Boxing Championships since the independence of Kazakhstan.

The ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships was another great success for the Kazakhs in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates this August-September. Their older junior talents claimed 3 gold, 4 silver and 8 bronze medals but their younger 2010 and 2011 born boxers impressed in Al Ain. The medal record of their schoolboys was 9 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals while the schoolgirls took 3 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals.

The first Best of the Asians awards for the 2012 winners were presented during the 2013 ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in Subic Bay, Philippines. Since then the Best of the Asians project was a success of the Asian Boxing Confederation between 2012 and 2018. The management of the Asian Boxing Confederation decided to renew the project after six years of break to celebrate Asia’s bests in seventeen categories.
