The best Mongolian boxers returned to their national training camp to Khandgait

The Mongolian Boxing Federation arranged a new training camp for their best women and men boxers to strengthen their physical conditions before any of the forthcoming international events. Mongolia produced champions to the world in the recent years and their training camp supports their success in the future.

The venue of the national training camp is Khandgait which is near to their capital city, Ulaanbaatar where all of their best boxers attend with the support of the Mongolian coaches. Mr. Damdinbazar Batsuren, the head coach of the Mongolian elite national team, lead their training session and programs.

The Mongolians earned only one quota place for the Tokyo Olympic Games through the Asian & Oceanian Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event which took place in Amman on March 2020. Their Asian Games silver medallist Chinzorig Baatarsukh claimed that spot and can prepares to his second Olympic Games after Rio de Janeiro.

The Mongolian Boxing Federation established in 1947 and their management is setting up their new database to introduce their bright history. The Mongolians achieved medals in several Olympic Games, AIBA World Boxing Championships, and the country won its first Asian Games title finally in 2014.

Mongolia was the host of the 2012 edition of the ASBC Asian Women’s Elite Boxing Championships and after seven years of break a continental event returned to the country. The Mongolians hosted the last edition of the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships in Ulaanbaatar on November 2019 which was a success for the country.

The Chinghis Khan Cup also supported the developments of the Mongolian boxers and strengthened the Asian international events. The next edition of the event could be in the upcoming Paris Olympic cycle as soon as the situation worldwide will be cleared. Mongolia will be the host also of the next Children of Asia Games in Ulaanbaatar which postponed from August 2020 to 2021.
