The best Mongolian boxers began the next phase of their preparations in Bulgan Province

The Mongolian Boxing Federation’s training camp turned into the next preparation phase which will be strengthening the tactical and technical skills of the boxers in the upcoming weeks. The previous national training camp was held in Khandgait near to the capital city Ulaanbaatar which increased the physical condition of the boxers. 

The new national training camp for their best boxers is holding in the Bulgan Province which is located in Northern Mongolia and one of the 21 aimags of the country. Altogether 41 Mongolian elite and youth boxers have been invited to the national training camp including several stars and future hopes.

Mr. Damdinbazar Batsuren, the head coach of the Mongolian elite national team, leads their training sessions and programs to increase the number of their one quota place for the Tokyo Olympic Games. Their Asian Games silver medallist Chinzorig Baatarsukh claimed that spot through the Asian & Oceanian Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event and can prepares to his second Olympic Games after Rio de Janeiro.

Mongolia’s experienced women boxers such as former ASBC Asian Women’s Champion Bolortuul Tumurkhuyag, AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships quarter-finalist Altantsetseg Lutsaikhan and Munkhbat Myagmarjargal are also still there in the training camp. Joining to them the new generations of Mongolian female boxers are strengthening the team in the camp and also in the upcoming events.

Namuun Monkhor will be turning to 21 this year but she is already multiple National Champion and bronze medallist from the Bangkok 2019 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships. Erdenedalai Michidmaa, Khongorzul Delgerkhangai, Balsan Mungunsaran and ASBC Asian Women’s Junior Champion 17-year-old Nomin-Erdene Tugsjargal are also among their next wave of women boxers with plenty of international experiences.

Mongolia’s highest ranked boxer Asian Games winner and ASBC Asian Champion Erdenebat Tsendbaatar did not qualify for the Tokyo Olympic Games yet but he had strong mental preparation to regain his best skills. Tokyo 2020 Olympian Chinzorig Baatarsukh, Indian Open International Tournament silver medallist Battumur Misheelt, veteran Narmandakh Shinebayar and Byamba-Erdene Otgonbaatar are also there in Bulgan Province from the top national team.

Enkhmandakh Kharkhuu is one of the biggest punchers at the men’s flyweight (52kg) who developed rapidly in the recent two years. Enkhtur Tegshjargal, Tulga Oyunbaatar and Gantulga Batbayar already proved their skills in the ASBC youth and junior competitions and all of them are ready to do breakthrough among the elite boxers. Sukhbat Enkhzorigt is Mongolia’s best youth male boxer who also joined to the national training camp.
