The Asian Boxing Family and the ASBC management wish Happy Birthday to President Mr. Anas Alotaiba
The management of the Asian Boxing Confederation, the Executive Committee members of the ASBC and the whole Asian Boxing Family wish Happy Birthday to the President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Anas Alotaiba.
Mr. Anas Alotaiba was elected as President of the Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC) on November 2018 during the AIBA Congress which took place in Moscow, Russia. Since then he is holding the position and supports the continent’s developments and keep the focus on the Gender Equality and the progress of the number of events despite of the hard situation.
Mr. Anas Naser Alotaiba was born in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates on 18th of May in 1976 and celebrates his 45th birthday today. Following his high school, he studied at the Abu Dhabi University on Master of Business Administration but he has got also experiences in international areas from the United States.
Mr. Anas Alotaiba finished his Bachelor of Arts, Business and International Affairs studies at the Lewis & Clark College in Portland, United States of America. Following his purchasing, Human Resources and management jobs, he was involved to boxing in 2012 when he became member of the United Arab Emirates Boxing Federation.
Mr. Anas Alotaiba was appointed as Executive Committee member of the Asian Boxing Confederation in November 2014 which was his first appearance in the international stage of our sport. As ASBC EC member he attended at the Bangkok 2015 ASBC Asian Men’s Elite Boxing Championships in Thailand and many further continental events.
Mr. Anas Alotaiba was elected as President of the United Arab Emirates Boxing Federation in 2016 and he became member also in the United Arab Emirates National Olympic Committee in the same Olympic year. Following this event Mr. Anas Alotaiba was approved to replace Mr. Yue Yan in the AIBA Executive Committee on February 2018.
Mr. Anas Alotaiba and his staff hosted the critical AIBA Executive Committee Meeting on November 2017, the AIBA Extraordinary Congress on January 2018 and one of the AIBA EC Meetings on July 2018 in the United Arab Emirates.
Following his ASBC Presidential election, Mr. Anas Alotaiba and his team arranged record number of five ASBC events in the year of 2019: the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Bangkok, the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships in Ulaanbaatar, the first ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships in Kuwait City, the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Fujairah and the ASBC Asian Grand Slam Championships in China last December.
The Asian Boxing Confederation and the whole Asian Boxing Community had a very tough year in 2020 due to the spread of Covid-19. Mr. Anas Alotaiba decided to launch the ASBC Development & Fund Commission on December 2020 which held its first meeting in Tashkent last month. The next edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships will be starting in the upcoming days in order to support the preparation of the Asian boxers.
