The Asian Boxing Confederation congratulates to the re-elected President of the Nepal Boxing Association Mr. Ram Awale

ASBC President Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira of Thailand and the whole management of the Asian Boxing Confederation congratulate to the re-elected President of the Nepal Boxing Association, Mr. Ram Awale.

The Presidential election of the Nepal Boxing Association was the key point of the 6th General Assembly and took place at the Tripura Lounge & Bar in Pokhara, Kaski. Several topics were on the official program of the General Assembly to strengthen Nepal’s boxing life in the upcoming period.

Mr. Ram Awale was the re-elected without any oppositions, all of the 37 delegates voted him during the General Assembly. Mr. Ram Awale will be able to serve Nepal’s promising boxing life in the upcoming four years.

Mr. Ram Awale led Nepal’s boxing life into a new era, their boxers made strong impacts in the previous international competitions. Their super talented Susma Tamang earned a historic silver medal at the 2023 ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships in Bangkok and one of the elite female boxers advanced to the quarter-finals at the Women’s World Boxing Championships in New Delhi.

Nine Vice-Presidents have been elected during the Assembly including the Senior Vice-President Mr. Arjun Bahadur KC. The new Secretary General is Mr. Man Bahadur Bhandari who will replace Mr. Sabin Bhattacharya in the office.

Nepal had several national championships and selection tournaments this year to find the best women’s and men’s team for the forthcoming Asian Games which will be held in Hangzhou, China from September 23.
