The ASBC Extraordinary Congress will be held in Al Ain on August 31

The Asian Boxing Confederation’s Extraordinary Congress will take place in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates on August 31 during the competition period of the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships.

The arrival date for the delegation members to the ASBC Extraordinary Congress is August 30 while after the meeting, the officials can leave Al Ain on September 1. The local organizers will be arranged the transportation from and to the Airport based on the itinerary of the delegation members.

All of the voting delegates and delegation members have to send their passport copies, the filled visa application form and their photo with white background to the administration@asbcnews.org email address. The logistical details also sent to all of the National Federations by email to register for the Congress on time.

The management of the Asian Boxing Confederation decided to arrange an ASBC Extraordinary Congress in the United Arab Emirates one month ago after the Board of Directors meeting in order to vote on joining World Boxing.

The International Olympic Committee withdraw the recognition of the International Boxing Association as the governing body for the Olympic boxing. The IOC’s derecognition of IBA, the Asian Boxing Confederation will consider aligning with World Boxing which is aiming for a recognition in the International Olympic Committee.

The ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from August 27 and its team delegations’ handbook and all registration details have been sent to the National Federations.

Before all of the events and Congress, sixteen Asian National Federations will participate for the medals in the most important competition of the year, at the Paris Summer Olympics from July 27.
