The 4th Pakistan Inter-Department National Championships will be held in Abbottabad on August 25-31

Pakistan’s next national competition, their 4th edition of the Inter-Department National Boxing Championships will be held in Abbottabad between August 25 and 31.

The new national event will take place for the elite women and men boxers in Abbottabad which is located in the Hazara region of eastern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Army, the Navy, Police, Wapda, Railway, KPT Police, the Higher Education Commission and Pakistan Boxing Federation’s teams will participate in the national competition. The talent development team can register two boxers in each weight class to increase their experience and give them chance in the national level.

The 4th edition of the Inter-Department National Boxing Championships supports the decision makers in the selection of the national team which has been preparing with full speed to the upcoming South Asian Games which will be held in Pakistan most likely on February 2025.

Pakistan was planning to send four boxers to the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan but their elites competed in the 1st and 2nd World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Events.

Pakistan had historic medals in the 2022 editions of the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships in Tashkent and the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Amman. Their best elite boxer, Zohaib Rasheed earned these bronze medals in both events in Tashkent and in Amman.

Pakistan’s best boxers, new talents, next generation of boxers from several regions, all are planning to compete in this important national event.
