Tajikistan has strong plans in 2025

The Tajikistan Boxing Federation will be very active in 2025 according to their strategic plans and the country is ready to continue its strong progress in the international stage.
Tajikistan earned its first World Championships’ medal in elite boxing still back in 2003 and since then their development is amazing. The Tajiks claimed gold medals in several editions of the ASBC Asian Boxing Championships since 2005 when their previous legend, Jakhon Kurbonov bagged a title in Vietnam.
Tajikistan made historic results in the recent years in all levels of boxing but their best performance was at the 2024 ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships in Al Ain, UAE. Tajikistan’s new sensation, Akmal Ubaidov achieved an unexpected gold medal at the recent ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships.
Their elite national team was planning to compete at the Strandja Memorial Tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria in February as well. Tajikistan selected their top girls to participate at the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships in Nis, Serbia where Mizhgona Samadova reached the quarter-finals.
Their junior talents competed successfully at the Manarbek Ikhsanov Memorial Tournament in Kazakhstan and earned two gold medals.
Their first national event will be the Tajikistan U22 National Championships which is planning to be hosted soon for the 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 born boxers.
The Mavzuna Chorieva Prizes Tournament will take place in Dushanbe this October for the women boxers. Mavzuna Chorieva was Tajikistan’s first ever ASBC Asian Women’s Champion, she earned that gold medal in 2010 at the age of 18.
December is the month of their Elite National Championships in Dushanbe where all of their stars and new talents will compete for the medals. Their National Championships for the schoolboys, schoolgirls, junior and youth talents will be decided soon.
The Korotkov Memorial Tournament, the Kadyrov Tournament and several other competitions are in their plans in 2025.
