Sri Lanka’s President Mr. Anuruddha Shanaka Bandara appointed their new Media Unit Director, Mr. Alarm Osman

Mr. Alarm Osman, a senior journalist has been appointed as the new Media Unit Director in the Boxing Association of Sri Lanka. The President of the Sri Lanka Boxing, Mr. Anuruddha Shanaka Bandara confirmed his appointment in an official letter yesterday.

Their President hopes that Sri Lanka’s boxing communication and promotional work will be significantly increased under Mr. Alarm Osman’s leadership.

Sri Lanka sent record-breaking number of boxers to the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships which was held in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates between August 27 and September 10.

The new President in Sri Lanka’s boxing, Mr. Anuruddha Shanaka Bandara invested a lot of efforts to the sport in the previous months to take the team to international events and the South Asian country hosted several national events as well.

The Sri Lankans competed events in Seychelles, Chinese Taipei and United Arab Emirates in the previous months and their management has strong strategic plans for the upcoming four years to lead the country’s boxing back to their golden era.

The management in Sri Lanka’s boxing also plans to host the 2025 edition of the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships in their homeland which would their first ever continental event in the country.
