Several talents defended their titles in the Mongolian Junior National Championships

The Mongolian Junior National Championships was held in the city of Darkhan to develop the regions of the country. Mongolia’s top junior talent who had strong experiences in this age group as Ganzorig Badmaarag among the women, and their tough men talents Ganbaatar Gan-Erdene, Enkhzorigt Sukhbat and Bayarsaikhan Altantulga demonstrated their power in the Mongolian Junior National Championships.
Mongolia attended in the last edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships in Puerto Princesa and some of their boxers proved their talents in the island of Palawan. Their current women and men junior age groups are stronger than last year’s one and the country is ready to show their potentials in the international level.
The women boxers could attend in eight weight classes in the Mongolian Junior National Championships in Darkhan. In the men part of the competition 10 young champions have been crowned in the national event. Altogether 62 women and 140 men talents attended in the Mongolian Junior National Championships.
A. Khulan impressed in the Mongolian Junior National Championships who proved she is a top female talent in the country and won the pinweight (46kg) in Darkhan. Solongo Enkhgerel and M. Tsetsegdari defended their thrones in the women part of the Mongolian Junior National Championships securing the second titles in the junior level.
Strong future hope Junior National Champion Ganzorig Badmaarag achieved the title at the Mongolian Youth National Championships and she was able to repeat that performance in her age group as well. Her weight class was the most familiar with the participation of 14 female boxers but Badmaarag was able to win all of their four bouts by RSC including her final against D. Tuvshintungalag.
The first gold medal among the men boxers was taken by Dorjnyambuu Ganbold who defeated A. Battulga in the final of the 44kg weight class and changed his last year’s silver medal into gold in the Mongolian Junior National Championships. Altogether 24 boxers attended for the medals in his weight class and Ganbold had to beat talented rivals.
Enkhbaatar Sukh-Erdene won the title of the 44kg category in the 2017 Mongolian Junior National Championships and after his extra performance he was able to beat all of his rivals at the pinweight (46kg) defending his throne. Ganbaatar Gan-Erdene is an experienced junior boxer in Mongolia who had a tough final against D. Khos-Erdene but he was able to beat his rival by split decision in Darkhan.
Enkhzorigt Sukhbat took silver medal at the Mongolian Youth National Championships and competed in his age group successfully following his strong experiences. Sukhbat was the titleholder of the pinweight (46kg) but after that 2017 result he attended this time at the flyweight (50kg) which he also won beating his opponents by large margin of differences.
Bayarsaikhan Altantulga is Mongolia’s great future hope in men’s boxing who won gold at the Mongolian Youth National Championships earlier this year and he was also titleholder in the junior level. The light bantamweight (52kg) boxer was too strong for Altantugs Uuganbayar in the final of the event and secured another national title in Mongolia.
Zhandos Askhar moved up two weight classes in the recent months and attended at the light welterweight (63kg) with great success. Askhar, who has got Kazakh roots, defeated two rivals by RSC and controlled his final against Sainchuluun Javkhlanbayar and won the bout by unanimous decision in Darkhan.
