Seven days until the start of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships

There is only seven days until the start of the forthcoming ASBC Asian Elite Men’s and Women’s Boxing Championships which has been relocated from New Delhi, India to Dubai, United Arab Emirates with the same regulations and protocols. The final countdown has started to the ASBC Asian Elite Men’s and Women’s Boxing Championships.

The arrivals of the delegations to the ASBC Asian Elite Men’s and Women’s Boxing Championships are this week and after the sport entries check and official draw, the competition will be starting on the 24th of May. The finals are scheduled on the 31st of May in Dubai where twenty champions will be crowned.

Boxers who were born between 1980 and 2002, are eligible to attend in the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in the United Arab Emirates where high number of Tokyo Olympians will be attending from several top nations. Our leading nations in the Asian continent such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, India, Mongolia and South Korea, all will be arriving with big delegations and top quality of boxers.

The women boxers can attend in 10 weight categories in the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships: light flyweight (48kg), flyweight (51kg), bantamweight (54kg), featherweight (57kg), lightweight (60kg), light welterweight (64kg), welterweight (69kg), middleweight (75kg), light heavyweight (81kg) and heavyweight (+81kg).

The men boxers can compete also in 10 different weight classes in Dubai as follows: light flyweight (49kg), flyweight (52kg), bantamweight (56kg), lightweight (60kg), light welterweight (64kg), welterweight (69kg), middleweight (75kg), light heavyweight (81kg), heavyweight (91kg), and super heavyweight (+91kg).

The official logo of the ASBC Asian Elite Men’s and Women’s Boxing Championships is revealed earlier this month while the equipment supplier of the competition is the company of the Green Hill. The competition venue is the Grand Ballroom of the Le Meridien Hotel where the teams can expect a great show.

 The Olympic Games is the most important event of the year and the ASBC President Mr. Anas Alotaiba decided to hold the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships as active preparation before Tokyo. The competition will be held with Covid-19 protocols which were successful in all of the previous tournaments.
