President Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Bakhodir Jalolov Sports School

The President of the State of Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Bakhodir Jalolov Sports School in Tashkent in the recent days. This is the Year of Support for Youth and Business in Uzbekistan to create the best conditions for the young sportsmen and popularize sports in the country.

Mr. Bakhodir Jalolov won the Tokyo Olympic Games, the last edition of the World Boxing Championships, the Asian Games and he is three-times ASBC Asian Champion at the super heavyweight (+92kg). The Uzbek star boxer has qualified already for his second Olympic Games and he is the main gold medal contender in Paris once again.

Mr. Bakhodir Jalolov launched its own boxing school in the Uzbek capital in 2022 to educate athletes and find new talents. The ground floor of the facility contains the main boxing gym, the swimming pool, the medical office and the dining room as well.

There are classes of psychology, foreign languages, theoretical studies, computer science, offices of the teachers and a hotel with 45 bedrooms in the second floor of the huge facility. The huge dormitories are found in the third and fourth floors in the building which has an underground parking as well.

Altogether 25 students are selected to study and work there every grade and currently 50 young talents are studying in the Bakhodir Jalolov Sports School. These young talents were selected from all over the country and they will compete more events from 2024.

The boxers from the Bakhodir Jalolov Sports School achieved one gold and one silver medal in the previous edition of the Uzbekistan Schoolboys National Championships in Andizhan. Their Asilbek Rozumbayev (33kg) claimed a gold medal before Mumtoz Bakhadirov (58kg) bagged a silver in the national event.
