Philippine Olympic Committee named Congressman Monsour Del Rosario as 2019 Southeast Asian Games Chef de Mission
Congressman Mr. Monsour Del Rosario was named as Chef de Mission for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games which will be held in the Philippines in 2019. The Southeast Asian Games or shortly the SEA Games is the region’s most important multisport event where boxing is one of the most traditional sport.
Del Rosario, who is also a famous actor in the Philippines, led the Filipino delegation in the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games which was held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. Following his last mission he received this important role for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games and will be supported by Raymund Lee Reyes and Robert Bachmann who were appointed as Deputy Chief de Mission.
Southeast Asian Games was originally awarded to Brunei Darussalam but the country withdrawn hosting the event due financial and logistical reasons. After Brunei’s decision Philippines will be hosting the 2019 SEA Games which mean the multisport event returns to the country after 2005 when the city of Bacolod was the organizer.
