Palestine preparing hard for international tilts, bares coach Jayousi

Palestinian national boxing team head coach Mr. Nader Jayousi shared their rigorous preparations for the upcoming IBA Youth World Boxing Championships 2022 and other big competitions next year.

Jayousi bared that top bet Wissam Abusal and another promising talent are competing in the Boxam Youth Tournament in Spain which will host the Youth World Boxing Championships on November 14-26.

“Our boxers are participating in the Boxam Youth Tournament after a long break and we are happy that we can increase the skills of our young hopes in such a great environment,” he said.

After the Boxam, they will join another tourney in Prague, Czech Republic and hold exhibition matches in Palestine before going back to Spain for the international training camp and the Youth World Championships.

The veteran mentor further revealed their plans for the important events in 2023, including the Asian Games which will serve as a qualifying event for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“We will use the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament as preparation for the Asian Games in March. We are also planning to send our boxers for training camp and competition in the American continent to learn different styles.”

The Palestinian pugs will also compete in the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships early next year and Jayousi is optimistic that their young fighters will deliver.
