Only two weeks left until the start of the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships

Two weeks left until the start of the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships which will open with its first competition day on August 29. Two age groups, two genders and Asia’s best 13, 14, 15 and 16-year-old talents will be competing for the 56 available gold medals in Al Ain.

The upcoming ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships will be held in Al-Ain, United Arab Emirates between August 27 and September 10 which is named as the first top event after the Paris Olympics.

More than 25 countries have registered to the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships and the number of the boxers exceeded 450.

Several of the developing boxing countries have also registered to the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships where Bangladesh and Hong Kong will return to the continental level in Al Ain.

Some of the participating countries will be making their debuts in the schoolboys part of the championships in Al Ain where the first ever Asian competition will be held for the schoolgirls.

Al Ain is a historic oasis city in the heart of the United Arab Emirates near to the border of Oman and it has a population of more than 750,000. The weather conditions in Al Ain will be dry during the competition period with 28-30 degrees in the mornings and 42-45 degrees in daytime.

The 2008 and 2009 born boxers will be able to compete at the junior age group in Al Ain, UAE. Boxers who were born in 2010 and in 2011 will be eligible to participate in the schoolboys and schoolgirls competition.

The junior boxers will be able to compete in the following weight categories: 46kg, 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg and +80kg. The schoolgirls and schoolboys categories in both genders will be the 33kg, 35kg, 37kg, 40kg, 43kg, 46kg, 49kg, 52kg, 55kg, 58kg, 61kg, 64kg, 67kg, 70kg and +70kg.

August 30 – Day2 competition

August 31 – Day3 competition

September 1 – Day4 competition

September 2 – Day5 competition

September 3 – Day6 competition

September 5 – Day8 competition

September 6 – Day9 competition

September 7 – Rest Day

September 8 – Day10 competition with the schoolgirls and schoolboys finals
