Nurlan, Tursynbek and Ussenov eliminated favourites at the Kazakhstan Youth Sports Games

Almaz Nurlan, Rizat Tursynbek and Aidos Ussenov eliminated top boxers at the Kazakhstan Youth National Sports Games in the city of Kyzyl-Orda in their next contests.

The city of Kyzyl-Orda is located in south-central Kazakhstan and it is the capital of the region with the population of more than 300,000 inhabitants.

Kazakhstan’s Andrei Yeskin Youth Memorial, the Ibraimov Prizes Women’s Tournament, the Adriatic Pearl Youth Tournament and the Bekzat Sattarkhanov Youth Memorial were preparation competitions for the Youth National Sports Games.

Altogether 96 female and 218 male boxers are competing in the Kazakhstan Youth Sports Games in Kyzyl-Orda to earn the 25 medals. The 2007 and 2008 born boxers are eligible to participate in the competition which will be a strong selection event for this age group.

Karagandy region’s Ayazhan Yermek enjoyed her start at the Youth Sports Games in Kyzyl-Orda, she outpointed Nuray Kungeybay who arrived from the Turkistan region. Yermek won their meeting unanimously while Zhaynagul Sabyrzhan and Zhanel Kanatkyzy also made strong performance at the women’s lightweight (60kg).

Kyzyl-Orda region’s Dias Alpysbayev is one of the top boxers from the host city team who claimed several medals in the recent youth competitions. He had a successful start against Yersin Sagyntay of Akmola region and he continued his wining path against Nurym Boranbay of Karagandy region.

Aidos Ussenov joined the youth events only four months ago but the 16-year-old flyweight (51kg) boxer is one of the gold medal favourites in Kyzyl-Orda. The Kostanay region’s boxer controlled all of the three rounds against Akhmet Koyev and marched into the quarter-finals in the Sport Games.

Zhetysu region’s Azamat Yernur was also born in 2008 as Ussenov but he had the technical skills to beat Pavlodar region’s Ramazan Kazakbay at the flyweight (51kg). Shymkent’s favourite Birzhan Nurymbetov also succeeded in the Round of 16 when he faced with Yedige Kartabay of Almaty.

Almaty region’s experienced Daniyar Akbisenov eliminated Yerkebulan Adaybek in the first preliminary round of the featherweight (57kg) and he had also a successful mission against Shamshi Baltabay as next. Among the favourites of this weight class, Temirkhan Zholmakhan managed his pathway to the quarter-finals but Astana’s Darkhan Ussen lost to Almaz Nurlan of Karagandy region.

Karagandy region’s 16-year-old Bekzat Syrymbetov, Turkistan region’s Nurassyl Tulebek, Akmola region’s Ali Mereke and a local boy, Yerdaulet Shomekey are still in the competition at the men’s lightweight (60kg).

The light middleweight (71kg) delivered one of the sensations of the third session, Oral’s Tagir Satayev was defeated by Rizat Tursynbek of Almaty region and he failed to get any medals in the Youth Sports Games.
