Nikhat Zareen and Francisco Veron amazed and Ne Rhinos delivered a success over Bombay Bullets in the Big Bout League
The eleventh day of boxing was held in the Indian Big Bout Boxing League between the Ne Rhinos and the Bombay Bullets. The Ne Rhinos’ newcomers in the franchise as Ambeshori Devi Huidrom and Nikhat Zareen supported them to beat the strong Bombay Bullets 4-3 in a hectic encounter.
Big Bout is the official name of the Indian Boxing League which is a new program of the Boxing Federation of India which will be closing the busy year of 2019. Boxing Federation of India covered all costs for the boxers including flight tickets, accommodation, meals and local transportation, furthermore strong money prizes for the boxers. The competition period of the League is from December 2 until December 21 which is open for top foreign boxers as well.
Ne Rhinos’ first success was achieved by a talented young girl Ambeshori Devi Huidrom who dominated her featherweight (57kg) fight against Priya Kushwaha. Bombay Bullets’ Emmanuel Reyes equalized the scorecard winning the bout unanimously against Uzbekistan’s Timur Ergashev. The Cuban-descent Spanish heavyweight (91kg) boxer delivered the best performance just on Day11 and impressed the crowd.
Bombay’s second victory was taken by ASBC Asian Boxing Championships silver medallist Kavinder Singh Bisht who had an unexpected narrow fight against Sehran Sandhu at the men’s bantamweight (57kg). Ne Rhinos’ Nikhat Zareen has been attending in the international events since 2011 and the former AIBA Women’s Junior World Champion’s opening match in the League was a clear success over Colombia’s Rio 2016 Olympic Games bronze medallist Ingrit Lorena Valencia.
Ne Rhinos’ third success was achieved by Mandeep Jangra who had a key success over strong Naveen Boora at the men’s welterweight (69kg). Argentinean middleweight (75kg) No.1 Francisco Veron decided the whole match for the Ne Rhinos following his unanimous success over Prayag Chauhan. After the sixth fight the Ne Rhinos were the winners of the match but Ananta Chopade won the last bout of the night defeating Govind Kumar Sahani at the men’s flyweight (52kg).
