Ms. Polina Shtyfura – Incredible memories, emotions and experiences made the recent Asian Championships to a unique one
Ms. Polina Shtyfura worked as Equipment Manager at the recent ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolgirls & Schoolboys Boxing Championships which was held in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. The Asian Boxing Confederation arranged an interview with the Ukrainian official after the championships to introduce her experiences in Al Ain.
Ms. Polina Shtyfura of Ukraine worked already almost all levels of boxing during her official career and after a short break in our continent, she was appointed to officiate at the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolgirls & Schoolboys Boxing Championships.
“As soon as I receives an appointment to an Asian Boxing Championships, I was sure it will be the highest level of boxing. Even after my long break in the continent’s events, I knew that this special Asian atmosphere didn’t change.
Every Asian Championships are unique but this one was really a historic edition. By giving chance to Ukrainian team participating in this event, the Asian Boxing Confederation showed great support for the young boxers and their future career. I think this challenge make the event unforgettable and strongly competitive for all of the participants.
The deserves competition venue deserved the special attention, it was modern, with excellent facilities and spectator area therefore I am sure that all of the participating teams and officials enjoyed it.
I was assigned to work as an equipment manager at this historic Asian Boxing Championships. It is also an important role like any other official work.
I haven’t get a chance to see all of the bouts due to my work but my role gives me a chance to see special moments of these young athletes. I watched how the athletes prepare for the fight, how they experience and what emotions they feel before and after their bouts. I liked that all teams were polite and disciplined in this Asian Championships.
I am sure that the future of Asian boxing will simply increase after watching these junior, schoolgirls and schoolboys in Al Ain. We all recognized kind atmosphere, friendly environment, and warm welcomes in this Asian Championship.
I believe that this competitive championship will inspire young boxers to train harder in the future and participate in more events. The strongest teams from all over Asian gathered in this event and some new countries also joined them with top level of boxing.
The Local Organising Team was unbelievable and professional in Al Ain and we could see attentive and hardworking volunteers as well.
