Mr. Waheedullah Hameedi was named as new General Secretary of the Afghanistan Boxing Federation

Afghanistan Boxing Federation confirmed its new General Secretary which was named their previous International Director Mr. Waheedullah Hameedi who is a well-known official in the Asian continent. Mr. Waheedullah Hameedi is an energetic young person, one of the members of the next generations of the Asian officials.
Their previous General Secretary, Waheedullah’s father, Mr. Hameedullah Hameedi was one of Afghanistan’s most experienced boxing coaches and officials who was killed in an attack by gunmen in Khoshal Khan district of Kabul on June 24 when he was on the way to his office to work.
Afghanistan sent almost a full team to the last edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships to Bangkok this April where two of their boxers advanced to the quarter-final stages.
The Afghan team is attending at the Indonesian President’s Cup in Labuan Bajo now which is part of their preparation before the AIBA World Boxing Championships and their training camp in the Russian Federation.
Five Afghan talents will be competing in the upcoming ASBC Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships in Kuwait City and the developing country has done several efforts to develop our sport.
