Mr. Shbib commends Jordan Federation for successful hosting of Asian Elite Championships
Mr. Mohamed Kamel Shbib, one of the more veteran technical officials working on international boxing tournaments, weighed in on the recently-concluded ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships 2022 held in Amman, Jordan.
Mr. Shbib was Deputy Technical Delegate in the said tournament and he supported the success of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Amman.
“I appreciate the hard work of the Jordan Boxing Federation in hosting a major Championships in Amman. The decision of ASBC to hold the tournament there proved to be a good one. This was also approved by IBA.”
“Many boxers showed top quality boxing guaranteeing a bright future for Asia in elite boxing. Kazakhstan, Thailand, Jordan, Mongolia, Japan and India were the top performers in the tournament but many other countries proved competitive”.
„I was the Deputy Technical Delegate of the championship and I followed all of the IBA rules to keep our standard high all of the competition days. I know that the Observer and Referees & Judges’ Evaluators made strong job in Amman which supported my work well enough.”
“The Local Organizing Committee and the Jordan Boxing Federation should be commended for their untiring efforts all throughout the event. Highly qualified ITOs, Referee-Judges and local staff saw to it that everything went well.”
The tournament culminated with the finals held on November 12, 2022. Shbib, who is also President of the Syrian Boxing, revealed that the next event in his country would be their National Youth Championships to be held early 2023.
