Mr. Serik Sapiyev is the new member of the Kazakh Parliament

Kazakhstan’s London 2012 Olympic Champion, two-time AIBA World Champion and two-time Asian Games winner Mr. Serik Sapiyev is the new member of the Kazakh Parliament which is the next success for the sportsman out of the ring. Mr. Serik Sapiyev will be joining to the work of the Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament which is the first step in his political ambitions.
Mr. Serik Sapiyev finished his boxing career after the London 2012 Olympic Games at the age of 29 and following his success the training centre in Karagandy was named after him onto Serik Sapiyev Sports Complex. The 34-year-old former star boxer is the Manager of the Astana Arlans Kazakhstan franchise in the World Series of Boxing and he is also member in the AIBA Athletes & Youth Commission.
