Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira and Mr. Anas Alotaiba opened the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships

The Grand Opening Ceremony of the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships featured in the official venue in Al Ain after the first competition day at 8pm local time.

The introduction of Al Ain, the historic oasis city, which is located near to the boarder of Oman, was part of the Opening Ceremony today evening.

The flag parade of the 26 countries followed by Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Nepal, Palestine, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Chinese Taipei, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan Vietnam and finally Ukraine for the first time.

The flag parade was included with 26 various national music which made the Opening Ceremony a unique experience for all of the participants.

Mr. Anas Alotaiba, the President of the United Arab Emirates Boxing Federation, welcomed all of the participants including Team Ukraine in the magical city of Al Ain.

Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira, the President of the Asian Boxing Confederation, was grateful for the Asian National Federations about their active interest to send their youngest participants to the championship. He also underlined in his speech the participation of Team Ukraine and he wished fair play and good luck to the young talents who are the future of Asia’s boxing. The Opening Ceremony finished with laser and light shows, nice music and national dance shows which introduced the Arab culture in Al Ain.
