Mr. Dmitriy Morozov – “Thank you for the organizers of the Thailand Open for their hard work while the Laos boxing team has got potential for the future”

Mr. Dmitriy Morozov is the new head coach of the Laos national boxing team who signed his contract only a few months ago but his hard work is already paid off in the first competition day when his boxer won his opening bout with top performance.
Laos’ boxing life is in developing stage and their President Mr. Sisouphanh Sengsavanh has got strategic plans for the future. Mr. Dmitriy Morozov is the member of the next generation of boxing coaches and his Russian roots are guarantee for the development in Laos.
“The accommodation, the meals, the transfer, the technical meeting and all important aspects of the organization is high level here in the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament. Thank you for the organizers for their hard work, we all impressed about the level of the competition.
The Lao team has been preparing to the international events under my leadership since two months and I am satisfied with their attitude to the work. We have done a lot of functional trainings, sparrings, combat practice and other kind of preparations to strengthen them physically, technically and tactically as well.
We could get boxers from the famous combat sport of muay thai such as Khamsathone Khamphouvanh who won his first contest here in the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament in Bangkok. All of our team members are in good shape and we are waiting for a medal in the competition.
We had National Boxing Championships in March which was also a selection event for the future actions. The Thailand International Open Boxing Tournament is our preparation for the Asian Games. We will have three men and one woman boxer in the forthcoming Asian Games in Indonesia.
We have got developing boxing life and our National Federation is trying to fix the main issues in Laos. Altogether six men and two women boxers are training with me under my leadership in our training center.
I did not discuss the next year’s plans with our management yet but in 2019 we will be fully concentrated to the Southeast Asian Games and to the qualification events for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games,” said Mr. Dmitriy Morozov the new Russian head coach of the Laos national boxing team.
