Kyrgyzstan will send 10 boxers to the upcoming Boxam Elite Tournament which will be held in Spain

The Boxam Elite Tournament will be held in La Nucia, Spain on February 3-9 and the event is an important preparation competition before the main goals in 2025. Team Kyrgyzstan registered 10 boxers to the upcoming Boxam Elite Tournament and the country returns to the event after the 2024 edition.

The participating teams will be accommodated in the tourism paradise city in Benidorm which has beautiful sea, excellent weather and many attractions. The Hotel Melia Benidorm is a well-equipped accommodation for the teams and the food and the rooms are top quality.

The teams can arrive to the Alicante International Airport but the local transportations are free for the delegations. The Royal Spanish Boxing Federation’s President Mr. Felipe Martinez is waiting for the best teams from several Confederations to this forthcoming competition.

The head coach of the elite national team, Mr. Daniyar Tologon Uulu and Mr. Akyikat Abayev will be the trainers of the delegations as in the last edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships. The Vice-President of the Kyrgyzstan Boxing Federation, Mr. Aibek Dildebekov will also join to their delegation in La Nucia.

Anvarzhan Khodzhiyev won the gold medals at the Strandja Memorial Tournament, the Shopokov Memorial Tournament and some other events in 2024 and he is one of the gold medal contenders in La Nucia.

The two-time World quarter-finalist Sanzhai Seidakmatov will be competing at the bantamweight (54kg) which is fit for his physical condition. The ASBC medallist Islam Torobayev turned from U22 to elite this year and he has strong potential at the featherweight (57kg) in La Nucia.

Ryspek Bektenov (60kg) and Mirzokhid Imamnazarov (63.5kg) both earned bronze medals in the last edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in La Nucia. Ikhtiyar Nishonov is another younger talent in the national team and he will compete at the welterweight (67kg) in the Boxam Tournament.

The Asian Youth Champion Nuradin Rustambek Uulu (71kg) and the ASBC Asian Elite bronze medallist Omurbek Bekzhigit Uulu both returned to the national team and have the physical skills and routine to beat top rivals in La Nucia.

The Rio Olympian Erkin Adylbek Uulu is a veteran in the elite national team, but he is still hungry for the further successes and he could be the star of the cruiserweight (86kg) in the Boxam Tournament. The 22-year-old Bakyt Toktosun Uulu will come back to the elite national team at the heavyweight (92kg) after his national title.
