Kazakhstan produced a perfect day at the Nations Women’s Cup on Day4
The fourth competition day of the new 10th edition of the Nations Women’s Cup was held in Sombor, Serbia where Kazakhstan has done a perfect session. Teenage talent Arailym Marat, former AIBA Women’s World Champion Dina Zholaman and Vladislava Kukhta all won their contests on Day4.
The competition is the first international tournament in 2021 where one of our Asian boxing powers, Kazakhstan returned to with their best women boxers. The Nations Women’s Cup is a strong international female competition where the schoolgirls, junior, youth and elite boxers all can attend in Sombor.
The 10th edition of the Nations Women’s Cup is the first challenge for the girls in the new year where several of the top nations including Russia, Turkey, Morocco, Czech Republic and Belarus are also among the participating countries besides to Kazakhstan. The Nations Women’s Cup is a preparation event before the next Olympic Boxing Qualifying Events.
Arailym Marat could be Kazakhstan’s new female sensation who received the right at the very first time to attend in an international elite event. The 19-year-old talent eliminated her first rival at the women’s light flyweight (48kg) on Day1 and continued her winning path against a strong opponent. Marat used her impressive footwork to catch Russia’s Alena Artemova and surprised the European rival on Day4. The Kazakh teenager controlled almost all of the periods of the bout and remained her chances alive to win the title.
Kazakhstan’s second boxer in action was Dina Zholaman who claimed gold medal at the Astana 2016 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships. The 29-year-old bantamweight (54kg) boxer has got more than ten years of international experiences and after a few poor years, she produced her second excellent competition in Serbia. Zholaman had to face with Russia’s Valeria Rodionova who had strong youth results in the recent years. The Kazakh boxer maintained the best fighting distance and worked in close range therefore she was able to win that important contest in Sombor.
Vladislava Kukhta is Kazakhstan’s new featherweight (57kg) National Champion who shocked all of her local rivals two months ago. The 21-year-old boxer has got great chance to represent Kazakhstan at the upcoming World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event and she proved strong developments in Serbia. Kukhta controlled her second fight in the Nations Women’s Cup and eliminated Czech Republic’s young Lenka Bernardova making a perfect competition day for Kazakhstan.
