Kazakhstan is the Best Asian National Federation at the IBA Women’s Elite World Boxing Championships

Kazakhstan became the best Asian National Federation at the IBA Women’s Elite World Boxing Championships in Nis, Serbia.

Kazakhstan, DPR Korea and PR of China achieved the gold medals among the Asian powers in the city of Nis. Kazakhstan won three titles in Nis, DPR Korea and China both achieved one gold medal in the historic Serbian city.

Kazakhstan’s Nazym Kyzaibay earned her third title in the history of the Women’s World Boxing Championships while DPR Korea’s Pang Chol Mi took her second gold medal after the first from the 2018 edition.

Thailand and the record-breaking Uzbekistan also had finalists in the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships but both bagged silver medals. Vietnam was the sixth Asian medallist country with one bronze medal in the final medal standings.

The women’s boxers were able to participate in all of the twelve official weight categories from the minimumweight (48kg) up to the heavyweight (+81kg) in Nis.
