Kazakhstan focuses to the top of the team rankings in the upcoming ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships
Kazakhstan will be competing with maximum number of 56 boxers at the upcoming ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships which will open with its first competition day in Al Ain on August 29.
The upcoming ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships will be held in Al-Ain, United Arab Emirates between August 27 and September 10 which is the first top event after the Paris Olympics. Two age groups, two genders and Asia’s best 13, 14, 15 and 16-year-old talents will be competing for the 56 available gold medals in Al Ain.
Anelya Ordabek (33kg), Dana Orazbekkyzy (35kg), Takhmina Almasbek (37kg) were born only in 2011 and they spend their first year in the schoolgirls age group. Despite their young age, the trio have strong potential to win gold medals in Al Ain.
The Kazakh women’s junior boxers have strong expectations in the upcoming championships following their international results which their boxers achieved in the last 10 months. Kazakhstan’s Aiym Tankibayeva and Uzbekistan’s Maftuna Musurmonova probably are the best junior girls at the pinweight (46kg) in the entire world and they are ready to do their next re-match in Al Ain.
Aisulu Mukhit claimed the gold medal at the 2023 Junior World Boxing Championships and she will be competing at the welterweight (66kg) in Al Ain. The 16-year-old boxer lost to Uzbekistan’s Aselya Tulegenova in a preparation tournament but she plans to do a revenge in the upcoming championships.
Sila Bybolsynkyzy (50kg), Shyryn Manapova (54kg), the Women’s Junior bronze medallist Alina Kudaigenova (63kg), Kamila Ospanova (70kg), Aidana Ubaidullakyzy (80kg) and Sabina Zhaksylyk (+80kg) opened the year with gold medals at the Ibraimov Prizes Women’s Junior Tournament.
Aidos Ussenov, who moved up to the light flyweight (48kg), and the strong Kenesaryamir Marzhikpayev (63kg) received already the right to compete in the 2023 Junior World Boxing Championships in Yerevan. Both junior talents have strong potential to win gold medals in the upcoming championships in Al Ain.
Akzhurek Kalabay (60kg), Yerubay Turlybay (80kg) and Vladislav Samozhonov (+80kg) not only won their Junior National Championships but they competed successfully in the preparation tournaments as well. The junior trio had strong preparations in the previous months and they are ready to make an impressive debut in the Asian level of boxing.
