Islam Imaniddinov and Adilet Kachkynbekov won the awards at the Bishkek City Junior Championships
The finals were held in the Bishkek City Junior Championships which took place in the capital city of the Kyrgyz Republic. Spartak’s Islam Imaniddinov became the Best Boxer of the Championships and Dom FK’s Adilet Kachkynbekov had the best technique in the junior competition.
Former Olympic Games quarter-finalist Almazbek “Kid Diamond” Raimkulov and Kyrgyzstan’s former professional World Champion Orzubek Nazarov were the guests of the Bishkek City Junior Boxing Championships. Experienced Mrs. Ainura Sydykova was the Secretary of the Jury in the Bishkek city event.
The venue of the junior competition was the JFC Boxing Gym and all of clubs from Bishkek attended in the next Kyrgyz event of the year 2021. Altogether 90 male boxers competed in the Bishkek City Junior Championships from the 42kg category up to the heavyweight (+80kg). The light bantamweight (52kg) was the most popular category with the participation of fifteen talents but the featherweight (57kg) also saw great bouts.
Kyrgyz Boxing Federation’s next national competition in 2021 will be the Junior National Championships which is scheduled to be held in the month of March and the Bishkek event is one of the regional selection for that. Boxers who were born in 2005 and in 2006 were eligible to attend in the Bishkek City Junior Championships.
Adilet Kachkynbekov of Dom FK impressed the coaches and the experts in the first final of the competition and defeated Kydyrseyit Samadov of Spartak at the 42kg weight category. Ak-Bars’ Bektursun Melisbekov was also too smart for Azim Esenzhanov and achieved the next gold medal of the Bishkek City Junior Championships.
Spartak’s Kayrat Nurbek Uulu eliminated Shumkar Nurlanbekov in the semi-finals of the pinweight (46kg) and continued his winning path against Erzhan Kubanychbekov in Bishkek. Orzubek Nazarov Boxing Club’s Kyrgyz Sports School Games silver medallist Bektur Turdubayev dominated his contests until the final of the light flyweight (48kg) but he missed that last step against Belek’s Avtandil Kochkunov. Mr. Orzubek Nazarov won titles in the Soviet Union and he was one of the best Kyrgyz boxers in the 1980s.
Orzubek Nazarov Boxing Club’s next finalist was Salim Bakhreyev but he also claimed only silver medal following his loss to Family Sports’ Bekbol Bazarbayev in the semi-final of the flyweight (50kg). Ene-Say’s Kyrgyz Sports School Games silver medallist Kutman Amangeldiyev proved another impressive performance, he won the light bantamweight (52kg) after beating Spartak’s Muratali Erkinali Uulu.
Spartak’s Islam Imaniddinov won the title of the 2019 Kyrgyz Sports School Games and following his success over Besh-Sary’s Ruslan Akhmedzhanov, he defeated his last opponent for the gold of the bantamweight (54kg), Challenger’s Rafkhat Umarov. Spartak’s Kutman Sapanov continued his winning path against Ak-Bosogo’s Bekzhan Kanybekov at the featherweight (57kg) while Bekbol Dzholdoshev won the lightweight (60kg).
ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships quarter-finalist Mukhamed Dursunov was the main favourite for the gold medal at the middleweight (75kg) and he controlled also his final against Ularbek Sakeyev. JFC Boxing Gym’s Anasbek Zamirbek Uulu has done an impressive final against Aziret Kutanov in the final of the heavyweight (+80kg) and the local boxer managed to win that contest.
