Iran’s future star Mohammed Saleh Mesbahi Rouzbahani dominated a competition in Komsomolsk-na-Amure

Iran’s top future star, Mohammed Saleh Mesbahi Rouzbahani continued his winning series and he won the Komsomolsk-na-Amure International Youth Tournament.

The Russian event saw altogether 126 young talents who competed in 13 weight categories in Komsomolsk-na-Amure.

Among the Asian countries, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan competed in this strong international youth event with their best talents.

Uzbekistan’s Sukhrob Rakhmatullayev is a new addition to the youth national team and the 16-year-old boxer achieved the title at the welterweight (67kg). He had a close semi-final against Karim Teunayev but after that he had the dominance against Russia’s Egor Skarednev in the final of the competition.

Iran’s Mohammed Saleh Mesbahi Rouzbahani was one of the best junior boxers in the world in 2023 and 2024 and he joined the youth age group this January. The Iranian has wonderful technical skills and he all of his four rivals by large margin of difference including Russia’s Akhmad Aydamirov in the final of the light middleweight (71kg).

Iran is famous of its strong super heavyweight (+92kg) boxers and their Amir Esmaeili Vandaei is the reigning ASBC Asian Youth Champion in that category. He turned to elite this January but his replacement, Abbas Garshasbi was too strong for Russia’s Vitaliy Safronenkov and his opponent’s ringside abandoned the bout in the second round.

Iran’s Mahdi Rouzbahani joined from the junior national team to the youth this January and he won two contests at the minimumweight (48kg). The 16-year-old Iranian finally claimed a silver medal in Komsomolsk-na-Amure where a local boxer, Ramazan Dzhamiyev defeated him the final.

Mongolia’s best youth talent in the national team, the ASBC Asian Junior bronze medallist Manal Tsendbaatar also proved his progress in this international competition. The Mongolian bantamweight (54kg) boxer lost to Russia’s Arseniy Zhiltsov in a fantastic semi-final and he claimed a bronze medal.

Uzbekistan’s Farkhod Ismailov eliminated two Russians during his road to the semi-finals at the light welterweight (63.5kg) before he was stopping by the eventual winner Vladimir Yamkov in the last four.

Tajikistan’s Mukhammadsulton Sultonov represented his nation at the welterweight (67kg) and he achieved a bronze medal. Kyrgyzstan’s Khalilibragim Asanov (75kg) and Aitbek Berdimuratov (92kg) both took bronze medals in the strong international youth event.
