Interview with Mr. Al Kazim
Mr. Yousuf Ali Al Kazim is the Vice-President of the Asian Boxing Confederation and also he is the President of the Qatar Boxing Federation which association hosted the AIBA World Boxing Championships in Doha last October and we asked him about the positive effort of that big event. Al Kazim also shared with us his thoughts.
“Asia’s boxing life is very strong and to compare to other continent’s we have got great background for the future. We feel the positive effort of the Doha 2015 AIBA World Boxing Championships which was a qualification event for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and we could see the globe’s best boxers in Qatar.
We are planning to build up a strong team in Qatar, developing the experiences of our coaches and R&Js to participate in the all level of international boxing competitions. We have got good level among the Arabic nations but Asia is really strong with great history so we needs still time to join to the bests.
The Asian women and men boxers are very strong therefore I think our continent can prove great level also in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games after the selection events. Some of our boxers could be key athletes in Brazil in August after their continuous hard training and great motivation.
I think the Asian Boxing Confederation is working well and marked clear objectives through the teams and committees. There is a strong sense for us Asian Boxing Confederation is working professionally and develop our boxers, R&Js and coaches. The strategy is to serving the five regions of the Asian continent,”
said Mr. Yousuf Ali Al Kazim after the third competition day in Qianan.
